"Taare Zameen Par" is the one I am talking so much about. There were so many reviews on offer and luckily I am not adding one more to that. Seems like I am putting two contradictory statements in 2 para..Isn't it? But in reality, I have only one opinion and that is - " Its been long since I last saw such a World Class Actor act in such an author backed role. And truly, I feel so happy about the fact that I saw the film in its very first week". There was not even a single pair of eyes which were not left moist at the end of that film. And when films and actors are capable of doing that, then I feel that gap between the Reel and Real world disappears.
Don't be mistaken that I am referring to Amir in my above statement.I am talking here about the True Star of the film "Darsheel Safary", who single-handed takes the entire burden of the film on his shoulders.Never ever Have I seen such spontaneity from a child actor and it was difficult to believe that he was acting in the film. I am not going to Lavishly praise Taare as if it is an out of world experience. However, my idea about a film is that it should be close to your heart and should be able to emote to you directly and Taare has definitely done that. Or at least Ishaan has.
Somewhere down your memory lane you can see yourself in Ishaan. And seriously there was not even a single dull moment in the entire picture. And it was this innocence that created a deep image of Ishaan in my mind. I have always believed that every child should be left to himself for his true potential to be observed. And this experience confirms it.The movie may have made "Dyslexia" as a medium for telling this.... for some. But I felt that Aamir or Amol (the writer) was more or less referring to every child's problem through Ishaan.
In India, you have the burden of your parents on your shoulder right from the moment you are born. And mind this is not an easy one. Every one wants their child to be a Sachin in sports,Sharukh in Films,Abdul Kalam in knowledge or politics and so many more examples to put in. And how many examples more to put in. The result of all this is evident in the deteriorating state of our Children(as well as the Youth). I have always felt that a child is never free to follow his imagination and desire. Of course there can be exceptions. However, the statistics comes up like India's One-Day victory against a fully strong Aussie Line Up recent days.
Now the Million Dollar Question is : Do we have a remedy for this ?
One may think that I am Bragging a bit too much or I am becoming a little too Far-fetched in my imagination. I feel that the Teachers hold the Key for this. Nowadays, a child is spending more time at School or Tuition classes (I hate those) than Home. Hence his interaction with his parents is not as much as his teacher. And it is the teacher who is becoming his role model. So if the teacher can be true towards his conscience, we wont be having this problem any more. And this is the very specific reason I always wanted to be a Teacher right from my childhood. However I have ended up here in a Software Firm and ,mind you, I have no complaints. However that desire has rose up once again after seeing this film. How I want to Don that role, How I want to experience the thrill of it.
I sincerely Pray to god that he will give me time and opportunity enough to go for my Heart's call....
