New Year comes with New beginnings

What a way to start 2008, and I cant still believe that its not yet 1 month into the new year.The things I have been through during this one month has reassured my inner self on my abilities. It was not definitely a very warm New Year reception that I got. However as the year is progressing I am forced to swallow my own words and whatever little apprehensions I had in my mind are all fast disappearing.
I am in a particularly buoyant mood now. I never knew that solving problems would be so easy. I am starting this day on a very high note and hope to sustain this till end of the Day. Optimism was never missing in me but the practical application of it was, as I look back now. All this thanks to Raghuji and his advise to go through the book 7 Habits of Highly effective People. I never believed in self-help books and always thought they just re-iterated something which we already knew. However as the Author himself says, this one is not a self help book. I found it a written narrative of what has happened to me, what is happening to me, what will happen to me if everything goes unchecked and how should I start checking things. I have never approached pro-activeness at this level. Now that I am reading through it, I am understanding what does one mean by being proactive. Also it is cementing my belief that traditions ought to be followed and the culture that we have is precious.
Earlier, I used to worry a lot about my pathetic situation. But now I have come to realise that the situation has remained the same before and after my arrival. It is only my understanding and application that is required at this stage. I am having a much more stronger belief inside me that everything can be put back to normalcy.In fact I am able to think much more clearly now. I have taken a strong resolve that I am going to take the 30 day test seriously and implement the changes that are required in my current life style.This will give me enough and more room for improvement.The day is going to start in a short while and I have fully committed myself for the first task for the day.
