The Celebration

Last post I stopped at Celebration.Today it is from where I am going to start.Today was the annual bash in our firm.It was stopped due to various reasons nearly 2 years back and it is rejuvenating now. I am not a firm believer in such shows, but, in this lifestyle that one is having now this is a bare minimum. I wouldn't say that it was a great show out there but atleast we enjoyed. At the end of the day this is the only thing that matters.



At first when we stepped in to the Convention Centre, we exactly didn't know what we were supposed to do.But once we saw the familiar faces out there, then things started to settle down. It was not a very big place. You had these game stalls and all the little Candy,Popcorn stalls that one usually sees in a FAIR. We spent around 1 hour over there before a Scarcely Dressed MC came in to the Convention hall and started the usual small Fun games as a Prelude to the big event.The games were all common, but the participation ensured we were all going to have a very good time ahead.

After around half an hour of this we were asked to Assemble in the Big Auditorium where the actual programmes were scheduled. The MC, who on Public Demand I guess, had changed herself to much more presentable outfit and was announcing on what is in store for Us. The event started with a Group Dance by some famous Dance Troupe. Since it was the first one, they had started with a song on National Heritage,with Tricolour and all. This was followed by a small Mimcry Show by a group called MiB. They were mimicking Top Tamil actors whom they picturised as batsmen coming to Pavillion after getting out for Meagre Scores.This was followed by more dances, both from the people within our firm as well as the earlier Dance Troupe.


But the hall Just erupted when the top management had come on stage to give their performance for the song Dhoom Machaale. It was really good one. Even though none really knew how to dance the attempt made was really worth appreciating. Oh I forgot to mention about one game which we had in between. The MC had actually called 14 among the audience to come up and they were divided into teams of two.They were asked to pass a ball between them with the help of only their Jaw and Throat.It was really funny,Just because one of my room mate was on the stage.. :)

Well, this was followed by a more songs and dances.In fact we had around 2-3 songs by a lady who had sung in the Tamil Version of Chayya Chayya. She was really good and was very well supported by the Dance Team. I was inside the hall for these much time and as soon as they strted seving Dinner and Drinks I left the hall.The remainder of time was spent with a Plate in my one hand and Glass in another. At last it was around 10.30pm when we started from there.
Thus concluded an eventful day which is not gonna come again in the recent future.From Monday onwards I am going to Jump back into the very familiar Issues and deliverables.

Need to sleep now. Its been a very tiring day and want to really hit my bed and have a very comfortable sleep.Its been days since I had a comfortable night. So I very well deserve this.
